I took note of the quotes that I thought were great in either imagery, style, or description. Some of these I liked because they were short and to the point, and others were long but beautifully described the scene. I especially like how adjectives are placed in front of God’s names, like “dreaded Sokar” and “winged Isis.” I will definitely take note of these for my own stories and writing.

• "She stooped down and she saw her beauteous face mirrored in the flood"

• "The souls of the dead utter loud lamentations when the sun god departs out of the darkness of Duat."
• "The hand of man was no longer lifted against his brother."
• Her voice ascended to high heaven, and the sun boat was stayed in its course
• “Peace followed in his footsteps, and men learned wisdom from his lips.”
• “When they had spoken gently unto her she braided their hair, and into each lock she breathed sweet and alluring perfume”
• “The boon was granted, and she cut deep into the trunk and took forth the chest which was concealed therein.”
• “Then the winged Isis hovered over the body, and the air from her wings entered the nostrils of Osiris, so that he was imbued with life once again”
