Week 8 Progress

Image
(Personal photo of my dog to motivate me) Looking Back : I am fairly happy with the progress I've made so far in this class. I'm most proud of my storybook idea and the website I've made. I always loved mythology and now I get to write my own stories and it's just really fun and cool. The class assignments I like the most vary from week to week. Some weeks the readings are really interesting and I like the fairy tales more than other weeks. Other times I like writing my own stories. Looking Forward : In the second half of the semester, I'm going to try and procrastinate less and start things earlier. I really need to take advantage of the extra credit and working ahead, because my class load is intense for my major right now and it would be nice to finish this class early.

Week 8 Comments and Feedback

Inspirational Cat: Source Feedback in : Overall, I think I've been getting some pretty useful feedback from people. The comments I find the most useful are the ones who compliment me on very specific things, so I know what I'm doing good. Similarly, the comments that tell me minor things I need to change are very helpful. Feedback Out : I really enjoy reading people's stories, so most of the time I think my comments flow naturally. Looking at other people's stories help me realize what I'm looking for in my stories. Blog Comments : I love reading people's blogs because it's the best way to know what kind of person they are. There are so many different people with different majors and lives and it's cool reading how people describe themselves. Looking Forward: In the future I think I'm going to try to make my comments less fluff and more specific. I think my comment wall looks good but I'll continue to look at it and read what people ha...

Week 8 Reading and Writing

Image
Looking Back My first few stories were okay and it took me awhile to get the hang of things. Overall, I like my blog but it definitely has gotten better the further I've gotten in this class. I really enjoy my storybook website, and I'm excited to keep playing with it and make it more fun and colorful as my story progresses. One of my favorite readings so far had to be Cupid and Psyche. It was early in the year, but it had all the drama and character development that I want in my own stories. Image This is my favorite image because it's one I created myself for my storybook. It's an invitation for brunch and I like it because it's simple yet colorful and inviting. Looking Forward I think in order for me to get more out of my reading and writing, I need to not procrastinate. If I work on things earlier, I can create more ideas and will be in less of a rush. I tend to do things last minute but I think my writing will improve if I work ahead.
